The WISE Foundation is pleased to announce an exciting new program that will allow U.S. Residents to hone their agriculture skills while experiencing a new culture and earning money. This International Agricultural Internship and Training program is based on the more than a decade of experience WISE has had with a similar program that brings international students to the U.S.

No matter your agricultural interest, if you qualify, there is an internship for you. There are opportunities to gain experience and hone your skills while working with leading producers of row crops, beef, dairy, sheep, swine, and equine in the English-speaking nations of Australia, Canada, Ireland, and New Zealand. Get Paid to Participate Best of all, these are paid internships. You will receive no less than the minimum wage in the country in which you work, and in each of these countries the minimum wage is substantially higher than in the U.S.

You also may be guaranteed a minimum of 38 hours of work per week and housing is provided at little or no cost. You will be responsible for personal items and food. You will earn enough to pay for program expenses, including travel and administrative fees, and still have the funds to tour your host country and save money for your return to the U.S. To Qualify To participate in this program you must: • Be between 18 and 30 year of age.

• Have an agricultural/horticultural background or have studied agriculture/horticulture. • Be able to understand and communicate in English well. • Be currently employed or studying • Have held a current driver’s license for at least a year or have an International driving permit • Be fit and healthy and open to new ideas and cultures. • Be willing to commit to spending from 3 to 12 months away from home. From childhood Jake has been involved with the production of agriculture. He worked as a horse trainer, farmhand, and wildlife manager while earning his degree in Agribusiness at UT Martin.
