I did find this thread already: I have a similar issue with much less knowledge on the subject. I've downloaded the chipset, but clicking on the Installshield icon for the pack doesn't appear to be solving anything. The wizard appears for 2 seconds, the NVIDIA graphic flashes for less than 1 second, and both go away. Back history of the problem: after apparently deleting an important Windows update, XP completely stopped working, so I dug out an old reinstall disc and did my best to install it. Which lead me to guess that from what I've read here, I should follow the directions in the aforementioned link above to find drivers. Needless to say I cannot access the internet. Incidentally all of my old programs are still on the hard drive but I am not able to start most of them.
