How To Install I7 Processor On Motherboard
Hey guys i recently purchase a i7 3770k to upgrade from my old processor (pentinum g860) however after installing the new CPU, it seems that there is no display. Out of about 40tries the PC manage to start twice, and i check the DXDIAG and it shows i7 3770k, the other 38 also tries it just turns on with no display and doesn't read any usb devices ( keyboard mouse etc ) however all the fans LED lights are running. Attempted all solutions pretty much the ram single slot etc, updated the bios, downgraded the bios everything Then i put back in my old processor the g860 and it works instantly no hassle. Baofeng Uv 5r Software Mac. Not sure what the problem may be, it's not the ram because it's manage to work twice, sometimes it works but it restarts instantly and doesn't work at all. I been trying since boxing day () please help me out of option ) Motherboard = Asrock B75 Pro3 - M Ram = G.Skill Ripjaws X F3-10666CL9D-8GBXL (2x4GB) DDR3 PSU = Antec VP550P 550W Power Supply Could it be a short circuit powersupply?
Cos the i7 does require a bit more power but imo that doesn't make sense or the motherboard cpu reader is faulty / dirty? Swap Magic V3 6 Software. Sometimes it works which is like 1/20. Similar / same problem to this guy and keep in mind my old processor works INSTANTLY, my friend who have exact same build as me, i put in the i7 3770k to make sure it works, and it works instantly no hassle. I think the power is ok. I recently built my 1st PC and i had the exact same problem as you, all leds light up, then start pc, 0 desplay ends up it was my fault i had disconnected the 8pin power (this is the one wich gives ur cpu power, the 24pin gives u the leds) for some cable managment, that was the problem i connected it back in and for the 1st time in like 40 Tries it was ok xD (Check if ur 8 pin is well connected, it may have like 1 or 2 pins disconnected and its not giving enough power) Hope i can help in something:x. I left it unplug overnight for like 10 hrs turn on works instantly then restart it freezes on the motherboard loading saying asrock f2 etc then doesn't post anymore after, yet again old cpu works instantly, faulty motherboard or cpu? Plz help 2 things it can be 1 a dodgy i7 3370k or dodgy motherboard i dont count on asrock for reliability mines booted in circles then wouldnt even post according to the website it should have posted from its stock bios and no way is it the psu as these processors arent massive power hogs.
At one point it turned one and it says fw recovery error, which I think It has to do with the mb, despite it being dodgy howcome it reads g860 instantly do u think It's alright to never turn off my computer once it works again because the temperatures are fine 25-35 idle, or should I get the cpu checked, if it never turned on I would replace the motherboard but because it did makes. Me wonder what the problem may be. Hope I find the answer soon my christmas present isn't so good so far how many of the cpu power headers do you have plugged in 1 4 pin or both 4+4 pin make sure both of these are in or the board wont have enough power for the i7 3770k. It's one of these: - Be sure you have flashed to the latest BIOS, AND, that BIOS explicitly supports a 3770K. - Be sure you have all 8 pins connected to that CPU power connector on the motherboard.
