This is what I got from NetObjects: >This error means the directory where the db flat file (csv file) should >be does not exist. You should go in fusion, open the interface for >the admin component and check on the `general settings` panel where >is located your db flat file. Then go on the publish view, connect to >the server, create the folder and check its right; others should have >read rights and execute rights on it.
As I suspected originally. Sounds like a missing folder. But you said you checked that already. Chuck, Thanks for all the help.
I assume you mean data basesettings under the general settings for the admin component. In the window it has /db/news.cvs. I can't figure out how to add a file in publish view. What would be the name of the file? The url of site is and the page for the news admin is Please forgive my ignorance. Triman You have to learn somehow. You need to create the db folder.
Go to Publish View. In the right pane, choose to connect to the web server. When it connects, it will show the contents of the web publish folder. Known as the 'document root' folder. Right click and choose New Folder. Name the new folder db.
Set the permissions on the Rights tab in the folder properties. Check all of the boxes. That should do it. Fusion will generate the file. You just need to create the folder. Cover Cd Maker.
Chuck, Thanks for all the help. Once you broke the process down in detail it was easy. The NOF news component is woking. I have done over 35 websites using Front Page using add ons like Xara menu maker and swish max. The hosting company I use also had quite a few built in aps and scripts like formail & phpBB.
I could get away with knowing very little when it came to html coding and php scripts & the like. One of the main reasons I got fusion 9 was the nPower option. For somelike me it enables me to take on clients that want to update parts of thier website I use to turn down. This feature has already got me three new clients. Anyway, thanks again for your patience and help.
